Who We Are

My name is Kenneth Norman, I’m the Founder of Heartfelt Hands Non-Profit Organization. Our mission is to enhance and support the unique educational needs of the underserved community in West Houston and Cypress, Texas. A Houston native, I witnessed my parents work extremely hard to provide for all six of their children and still prioritize staying connected to and serving their community. Inspired by their legacy of hard work and community service I organized Heartfelt Hands.
In early 2018, Heartfelt Houston started the organization’s mathematics outreach tutoring program called Filling the Gaps. We provide assistance to young couples, single parents, caregivers and those in need within our community by building community, and engaging students.
Our Mathematics outreach program is a one-of-a-kind, engineer-led, educational experience. The program builds understanding and application of multiplication, fractions, decimals, percent, ratios, proportions, measurements, and beyond helping lead the student to more functional fluency for application into everyday life. We foster a low pressure, learning environment with a focus on mathematics.
We create an experience that promotes learning based on the unique abilities, talents, of each our students. Critical to our success is our commitment to increasing overall literacy which we believe directly impacts our student’s performance and outcomes. We consistently improve our educational engagement, classroom experience and curriculum based upon research conducted by local and national institutions of higher education.
