Kenneth Norman
Kenneth Norman is a native Houstonian with a heart for his hometown. Throughout his youth he could be found helping others, giving back, or tending to his responsibilities associated with Future Farmers of America (FFA) and serving in his church. Through dedication and hard work, he earned a full tennis scholarship to Texas Southern University where he became the first person in his family to earn a college degree, and then went on to play for several years on the semi-professional level. Kenneth earned both a Bachelors of Science in Aviation/Computer Science & Masters of Science in Transportation Planning & Logistics Management from Texas Southern University. In college he volunteered at The Star Of Hope Ministries and served as a counselor and tutor for high school students in Upward Bound focusing on Math & Science. Additionally, he is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated and serves both local and national efforts.
In 2007, Ken served his country as a civilian contractor for the Department of Defense and worked in the Middle East in Iraq, Dubai & Afghanistan, and in 2011 he returned home to Houston and began working in Houston’s world-renowned Energy Sector. All this led to the creation of Heartfelt Hands Houston in 2018, which allows him to serve his local and state community. Ken has finally found the perfect venue to combine his passion for serving others with his lifelong appreciation for education’s transformative value.
